The Metuchen Education Foundation

Created in 1996, the Metuchen Education Foundation Inc. (MEF) is an independent, non-profit corporation that raise funds to provide grants to Metuchen Public School educators so they can enhance the curriculum with their innovative ideas and special projects that are not otherwise provided for in the school budget. 

​​Over the past 30 years, with the generous support of community members like you, the MEF has been able to provide over $560,000 back into the Metuchen schools via our successful teacher grant program. Your donations have funded grants across a wide array of disciplines and content areas over the last three decades.  From technology requests to enriching our music department to sponsoring performing arts' opportunities, the MEF has supported so many wonderfully creative and innovative grants dreamed up by our amazing Metuchen educators.

Our Mission

Our mission is to offer our Metuchen educators the opportunity to enhance their regular curriculum by applying for grants for their innovative ideas and special projects that would otherwise not be available to the classroom due to budget constraints. We are dedicated to supporting educational excellence for all students in the Metuchen Public Schools.
