The MEF founded the Edgar Middle School Science Fair in the early 2000s and has been proudly sponsoring it ever since! This year, we expanded to include STEM projects and we were excited about the new opportunities this created for students to explore a wider range of interests and skills.
Every March, more than 25 community scientists volunteer their time to judge approximately ninety Science & STEM Fair projects! We are so grateful to have the expertise of these community judges.
If you are a scientist enthusiast and would like to volunteer to be a Science Fair judge next year, please Contact Us. We'd love to have you!
Congratulations to our 2026 Edgar Science & STEM Fair Winners!

For over a decade, the MEF has proudly funded the 2nd Grade Better than Broadway Theatre Week at Campbell Elementary School. During this special week long program, all 2nd grade students rehearse and perform an original musical for the school, family, and friends. Theatre Week gives students a greater appreciation for the Performing Arts, builds self-esteem, and brings together the whole school community for a heart-warming and positive experience. You can learn more about Better than Broadway here.
The next 2nd Grade Better than Broadway Theatre Week will take place April 20 - 24, 2026.
